Terms of service

The service
Debrief (“we”, “us”) turns a recording or a transcript of a conversation you supply into a structured filing — summary, decisions, commitments, objections, risks, CRM fields, next steps and quotes — with each item anchored to a position in the source. You (“you”) pay per call filed at the rate published on our pricing page.
Recording consent is yours
You are responsible for having the right to record, transcribe and process every conversation you send us, including whatever consent the law where the participants sit requires. Some jurisdictions require every party to a call to consent. We cannot verify that and do not try to; sending us a recording is your representation that you had the right to make it and to have it processed.
What the output is, and is not
A debrief is a machine-produced reading of what was said. It is designed to refuse rather than guess — an unresolvable anchor comes back null, an unattributable commitment comes back with no owner, and a call with nothing in it is refunded rather than padded. It is still not a legal record, not a verified transcript of proceedings, and not advice of any kind. Check anything you are going to act on against the source, which is exactly what the timestamps are for.
Payment
Filing one call costs 10 Ounie credits, plus a per-second transcription charge that applies only when we run a transcriber for you. Credits are purchased on ounie.com and drawn from your shared Ounie wallet. There is no subscription. A call with nothing worth filing is refunded in full.
On the x402 rail, payment is a USDC transfer on Base. An on-chain settlement is final and cannot be refunded, which is why we verify the payment, do the work, and settle only when there is a real debrief to return.
Limits and acceptable use
One debrief covers up to 120 minutes of audio. Do not use the service to process conversations you recorded without the right to, to build a surveillance product aimed at people who have not consented, or to attribute statements to identified people in a way the output does not support.
Availability
The service depends on third-party transcription and model providers. When one of them is unavailable we refuse requests up front rather than charging for work we know cannot succeed. We do not guarantee uptime and we are not liable for consequential loss arising from an unavailable window.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time; unused credits remain in your Ounie wallet for use across every Ounie app. We may suspend an account that abuses the service under the section above.
These terms describe how the product behaves and are not legal advice. They are pending review by counsel.
